My Health Care Without Insurance

First of all I would like to say, "IF" you find the following information useful or entertaining, then please click on some of the TEXT ADS you will see in Blue. This will help me to evaluate if in fact the CPA (Cost Per Action) Agency I am signed up with is any good or not.

I live in the county of Brevard (Pronounced "BREE-VARD) Florida. I go to the Brevard Health Alliance Clinic in Palm Bay Florida. There I get my shipment of Insulin consisting of 10 Bottles for a $5.00 fee. If I bought these same Bottles at the Wal-Mart Pharmacy, it would cost me just under $1,000.00 If I bought anywhere else it would be over $1,000.00 to buy. Not bad for only a $5.00 fee. I would call that getting your medicine for almost nothing.

The office visits are $10.00. The Lab work is $10.00 if you are working. If unemployed the Lab work is free. Other Medicine I need (Not the insulin mentioned above) is usually $4.00 at Wal-mart. There has been high priced Meds that were given to me as samples (most Doctors office do this). when I go to Wal-mart Pharmacy and they tell me a Bottle of Meds are $230.00 for 30 days supply (Example: ACTOS), I say forget it and tell my Doctor to find a cheaper Generic of the same Drug. If no Generic, then no Drug for me, however my Doctor is good at finding a similar cheaper Drug that does the same thing.

Now on the other side of the coin. I have never had major surgery and I am not sure if my Doctors office system would pay for any part of a major Surgery. Also, on the other side of the coin is the fact that when I am working everying changes. I had to pay 60% of everything except the lab work was still $10.00. The office visits went up to like $38.00, still cheaper than a lot of other places in this country.

I have a copy of one of the locol Hospitals Letters above referring the Brevard Health Alliance, however I will put it here as well since you may not see it clearly.
